Smart Movement is very proud to announce that we are one of only 2 studios in Southern Ontario that offer Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis training.  This unique and complex training system combines muscular strengthening and stretching principles to create exercises that stimulate your body on multiple levels simultaneously.

The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® targets bodies that are imbalanced, tense, stressed, and burnt out.   It is highly recommended for lower back problems, post rehabilitation, anti-stress training, burn out syndrome prevention and rehabilitation, professional and recreational athletic performance training and working professionals looking for a unique way to center themselves and improve their body health.  GYROTONIC® revives the body by awakening its strength, stability, peacefulness, and the freedom of movement through seemingly effortless movements that are designed to increase your flexibility, co-ordination, stamina, spinal rotation, posture and muscular symmetry.

Our studio also offers group training in GYROKINESIS®.  Gyrokinesis® sessions move your entire body through a series of exercises designed to improve and focus on the 7 natural elements of spinal movement: extension, flexion, side flexion, circular motion, spiral twist and spine rotation.  These exercises are low impact and designed to fit your lifestyle.  They require the participants to center themselves and engage mindfully with their own bodies while they perform the exercises.  In addition, it works to mobile the other joints within your body.  You will be trained to breath smart so that you can stimulate your internal organs and get a true full body workout.


Please note, that while our Gyrokinesis® Classes can be customized to the fitness level and lifestyle needs of each group; our advanced classes are more challenging than an advanced aerobics class.  Your body will move in ways that other types of exercise are not able to stretch it, this is why training with our experts make such a big difference.  They will prepare your body for the movements so you are safe and getting the most out of your workouts.
